Join us as we pedal around Manchester on our fleet of Pashley bicycles, each adorned with fresh flowers for the ultimate cycle pretty experience of our home city...
In addition to the front basket flower posies, which you'll be given at the end of the journey...
... the ding dong bell flower rings will be transformed into corsages for the wrist...
...and the down tube flower garlands will also be made into loops so they can be worn as a headpiece or necklace- making sure you leave our tour with the full festival feel!
First we pedal back in time almost 2000 years, as we weave through the roman ruins which became the foundation stones of the city we all know and love today...
Next, we join the city's BeeNetwork cycle lane infrastructure to safely take you through the city centre, known as the heart of Manchester's cosmopolitan shopping quarter, before journeying across to the world famous Northern Quarter- known for becoming home to the Chanel fashion show in 2023. Along with it's quirky combination of Victorian Industrial Revolution architecture and modern street art, this area is renowned for it's wealth of independent shops, restaurants and cafes that make this district a go-to destination in it's own right.
Then as we continue to pedal through, we eventually end up in the neighbouring area of Piccadilly. Taking a few quiet backroads, we then find our way to the city's Canal Street district- recognised internationally as the safe haven used by the world famous Manchester Pride charity to host events for the LGBTQ+ community...
The final stretch then takes us through the towering red bricked buildings of Manchester University, which eventually leads us into the St Peter's Square area...
From the renaissance-styled build of the Central Library, to the ornate intricacies of the gothic Midland Hotel and Manchester Town Hall- both of which now contrast with the cleaner lines of the modern office buildings opposite- this area makes the perfect backdrop for some final photographs with such varying styles of opulent architecture...
Throughout the entire route we will share with you the many stories about the people, places and events that have all helped weave together the social fabric of this avant-garde city, now so culturally diverse and steeped in a very unique history...
