Grosvenor Park Chester and Surrounding Area

The historic Roman city of Chester is filled with red sandstone and monochrome Tudor buildings, which create a quaint and atmospheric feel to your bicycle picnic adventure...

Chester Grosvenor Park

A series beautifully landscaped garden areas that sympathetically work around the old 13th century ruins of St Mary's Nunnery, Chester Grosvenor Park has become a hive of activity with families and groups of friends since it's restoration in 2014...

You'll find plenty of people perching up under a tree, taking their children on the miniature railway, or coming into the park to attend a show at the open air theatre, which will also give you plenty to do and see along the way...

Next to the main entrance is a small quaint lodge, which houses the park's café.  Also slightly further along are regularly tended to public toilets and bike locking racks.

Also running along the river banks are a series of dog friendly pubs and restaurants, all with outside seating...

Queens Park Suspension Bridge

Cycling back in the direction of Grosvenor Park, you will find Chester's suspension bridge, which takes you across the River Dee to the leafy residential Queen's Park area...

Once on the other side, take an immediate left down Victoria Crescent to get to the Chester Meadows at the bottom end of the road...
